Been coming here for 40 years, it's that good.

I love this place. It’s a small mom and pop restaurant with amazing homemade food and friendly faces. I eat here anytime I get the chance. They have parking for 18 wheelers as well!!

Great food a d service.

I wanted to eat here so bad, but my heart was broken when i found out they close so early on a Saturday night. I was out of hours to drive and sitting in my truck lonely and tired and scared, when the lovely lady i talked to there would have stayed open for a few minutes if i could have gotten there

This place is a hidden Gem. Its a true McNairy County Staple that has only gotten better with time. The Food is true Southern Pit BBQ and is fantastic. The Place is super clean and the employees are very friendly. 5 stars for me

This place is great! Has been a favorite in my family for decades. They have a pulled pork sandwich to die for with very generation portions! If you’re a local or just passing through, you must try this place! Great people running a great place!!

Smoked Chicken was really good. Ribs were OK, a little chewy. Staff are so friendly and responsive. Worth the stop and maybe even going a little out of your way.

This place has been around fer years and has the BEST BBQ around! ... along with all the toppings and sides ... and yes, cold drinks! Friendly staff, always wearing a smile!!It's just a great place to sit and have the best BBQ sandwich ever! And the slaw is the best ... its good just by itself and the "bomb" on a BBQ sandwich.

Pappy John's has the best barbecue around this area. I used to work in Selmer from time to time with the roofing company I used to work for. I would always stop by to get some great grub! If I was the road anywhere near, I'd drive out of my way to stop by. Great Barbecue and Great Prices!

Food was great took the wife and son.

Good BBQ, quick, and decent prices on most entrees. They are now my go-to BBQ stop whenever I'm in this area. Especially enjoy their spareribs with their "super secret" BBQ sauce. People were nice, patient, and accommodating.

I ordered two slabs of ribs and drove 45 minutes to pick it up. I got there and they had no ribs. They wanted me to wait 45 more minutes while they went and bought some and cooked it. Wasted trip.

Greasy little place. The chicken was so dry it was inedible. Pulled pork was okay, but the sauce was almost too spicy to eat. Went through the drive through and we got the food quickly and pretty cheap. I would suggest the River BBQ Company over in Adamsville instead, it's well worth the twenty minute drive.

The BBQ, slaw and baked beans are the best in West Tennessee!! Service is also really good and served quick so no waiting!!!

Pappy John’s is THE place to go for BBQ in the West TN area! Their BBQ bologna and ribs are to die for! You better get there early if you want the ribs!! I always love supporting family owned businesses and this one is now in its third generation of ownership. It’s worth the drive!!

I live in New Orleans, we hunt in Raymer. My brother (from Atlanta) takes me to Pappy's and we order the fried bologne with slaw and bbq sauce. Super delicious. the meat is about a quarter inch thick. Must try

The best BBQ ANYTHING you can eat... awesome sauce and super fast service!! Also they have a family bbq that is extremely cheap that’ll feed a family of at least 6-8 ppl!!! It comes with great sides ( Baked beans Cole Slaw Buns Awesome 👏🏾 sauce and allAnd sometimes my husband gets the “ Skins” and says on them for days lol 😂!! Even make. Sandwich out of them 😆👍🏽!!! Love this place. Great food and a lot of great memories eating with my grandma. She would take me there very often when I was a kid and Ive eaten there on and off ever since. Some of the best pulled pork bbq and ribs money can buy!!

Straight up left the rib bones in my rib meat sandwichI about choked to death. Could have broke my teeth or worse. People want Quarter and dime sized bits of bone throughout entire sandwich or is that just how you cut on cost? It had way more bone than meat. Is the bread just for decoration or what? Was I supposed to Hand pull and assemble my own sandwich?

Distinct, GoodDon't bother with sides. Come for the meat. The ribs are best early in the day, they make a batch and sell until gone. Big portions.
